About
A directory for Hillsboro dog owners, run from Hillsboro.
Dog Friendly Hillsboro lists every vet, groomer, trainer, boarder, pet store, off-leash park, and dog-friendly patio we can find in and around Hillsboro, Oregon — in one fast page you can use one-handed while your dog pulls on the leash.
A few things we believe
-
Free means free
Browsing costs nothing and needs no account. Every business gets a listing at no charge, with its address, phone and website wherever they are public, whether the business ever talks to us or not.
-
Direct contact, no middle layer
Real phone numbers and real websites, wherever a business has them. Contact details are never hidden behind a form, and we never take a cut of what you book. Find a great groomer here and you call the groomer.
-
Local first
Independent Hillsboro businesses get the spotlight. Big-box chains are listed for completeness so the directory is honest, but they are never featured.
-
Ads are labeled
If a card is an ad or carries an affiliate link, it says so — clearly, every time. Ads never displace or outrank a local listing.
Listings are compiled by hand from public sources and kept current with help from the owners themselves. If you run a dog business here, claiming your listing is free and takes a few minutes.
Spot something wrong — a closed business, a shop that moved, an off-leash rule that changed? Tell us here or email bluecaptainllc@gmail.com and it gets fixed, usually the same week.
Conflicts we want you to know about
I'm Steve, and I run this site. I also run Dog Trainer Steve, a training and boarding business here in Hillsboro. It's listed under Training like every other trainer. It's never featured, never sorted first, and pays nothing extra.
I'm also a pet sitter on Rover. This site doesn't link to Rover or earn anything from it. If that ever changes to a paid referral link, it will be clearly labeled as an ad.
I volunteer as a foster with Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals. I'm not paid by them, and their listing gets no special treatment.
Who runs this
Blue Captain LLC — a one-person business in Hillsboro, Oregon. No investors, no national parent company, no sales team that will call you.
