Owned by Mission Pet Health (private-equity backed)

Owned by a company that runs many clinics. Clinics bought by a group often keep their original local name, so this isn't always obvious from the outside.

Private-equity firms buy businesses with investors' money, usually planning to sell them again within several years. Many vet clinics have been bought this way. It doesn't by itself say anything about the quality of care — some pet owners just want to know who owns their vet.

How we know

Oregon's business registry has the name Frontier Veterinary Hospital registered to Midwest Veterinary Partners, LLC of Southfield, Michigan (Mission Pet Health's home city). The clinic's privacy policy names Southern Veterinary Partners, now part of Mission Pet Health, and its careers page leads to Mission Pet Health's job site.

Checked Oct 1, 2026 · see the source
Mission Pet Health was formed by merging two vet groups backed by Shore Capital Partners; Silver Lake joined as an investor in Dec 2024.
